A nanny is someone who is hired to provide regular, personalized care for one or more children in a family’s home. Nannies often have a significant role in the child’s daily life, including educational, social, and emotional support, and they may be responsible for household tasks related to the children, such as supervision, helping with daily routines (like meals, bathing, and bedtime), and sometimes assisting with school work or activities.
Unlike daycare workers or babysitters, a nanny typically provides more consistent, long-term, and personalized care.
Often, nannies have specialized training or experience in early childhood development.

A babysitter is someone who comes in occasionally, maybe for a few hours, often in the evenings or on the weekends, to look after the kids when the parents are out.
A nanny, on the other hand, is more of a long-term, often full-time caregiver.

Not only do I have over 25 years of experience as both a nanny and a babysitter, but I also have over 12 years of experience working in early childhood education. I have had the privilege of working with, helping, and educating children across a wide range of developmental and socioeconomic backgrounds. Moreover, I have earned my Early Childhood Education Certificate, and I’m currently working on my AA in Science, and am working towards my bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.
I’m MMR and COVID vaccinated.
